CITADEL OF MUSEUMS

The headquarters of the antique Royal Arsenal has been the house of many museums since 1950:
National archaeological museum.

This museum contains a wide collection of artifacts found all over Sardinia.

These objects date from prehistory to the era of the Byzantine dominion.

National art gallery.

The museum shows numerous paintings from ancient artists, previously housed in various churches and cloisters of Cagliari.

Ethnographic museum.

This museum exhibits over 2000 pieces such as textiles, furniture and treasures from Sardinian handicraft.

Siamese art museum.

This is a collection of artworks from the Eastern world that were donated to the City by a collector.

Anatomical wax museum.

This museum has coloured wax copies of male and female anatomical parts.

St. Pancras exhibition space.

It is a huge exhibition space that houses art shows and workshops.
