Anciently, in this site there was a small church consecrated to Saint Rosalia.
At the end of 1600, the Franciscans built a larger church and a convent over the old church.
The facade has two niches with statues of St. Antonio of Padova and St. Bonaventura.
The church has only one room with a ceiling in the shape of a barrel.
There are four chapels on each side.
The altar preserves the relics of Saint Salvatore of Horta.
